Since early April 2020, Mark has been snorkelling, surveying the coast line between Mui Wo Beach to Man Kok Wan and has discovered multiple ghost nets in shallow waters trapping and killing marine life including fish and numerous crabs. We aim to gather together community members to remove these nets over 2020.

To date, 75+ large nets have been cleared from within an approximately 1km stretch of coastline from Tung Wan Tau to Man Kok Wan. The next action date is July 19, 2020 from 2:15pm to 6:00pm to take advantage of the low tide. If you’d like to join us, click Going on our facebook event to sign up.

We will have a mixture of responsibilities so active kids aged 8+ and adults are welcome. All kids from 8-16 years need to be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
